We are a church that believes love is not just something you preach. It is something you do.

Prayer Nest Ministries is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled, prophetic church in Smyrna, Tennessee. We were founded on a simple but weighty calling: to preach the gospel of love to all people. Not some people. Not church people. All people.

Led by Apostle Bosco J. Tanson, we are a community built on prayer, grounded in the Word of God, and sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. We believe God still speaks. We believe He still heals. We believe He still moves in power. And we believe that every one of those things is an expression of His love toward people.

The prophetic is not a special event we host once a year. It is how we do church. It is the atmosphere we carry. When the people of God gather at Prayer Nest, they come expecting to hear from heaven, not just from a man. That expectation has shaped us, and it continues to shape everyone who walks through our doors.

If you have been looking for a church that takes God seriously and takes people seriously at the same time, you are in the right place. It does not matter where you have been or what you have done. The door is open, and the love of God is real.

WHY WE PRAY

We believe that a community that prays together sticks together. When we look around, we see more broken families, an increase in crime and violence in our cities, and a rise in depression and mental health struggles. All of these are clear signs that we need God’s intervention now more than ever. The Bible states in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” For deliverance, restoration, and healing to take place in our families and communities, prayer is imperative.

Our church places great importance on prayer, because according to 1 Corinthians 1:9, God loves us and has called us into fellowship with Jesus Christ. It is our belief that such fellowship is established and strengthened in the place of prayer.

VISION STATEMENT

We envision a Biblically sound and culturally relevant ministry, compelled by the mandate to proclaim the Gospel of God’s love to every generation and every nation. We are called to raise up a generation of leaders who evangelize and impact the world with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, a love that saves, transforms, and restores, through an assembly of believers continually renewed and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Through Prayer Nest Ministries, we are commissioned to establish and plant vibrant, love-centered churches and ordain ministers who carry the Gospel of God’s love to all peoples, all cultures, and all nations of the world, until every heart has heard and every nation has been touched by the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

GOD

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal.

BIBLE

The Bible is God’s inspired word to us. It’s the final authority on doctrinal truths, infallible and inerrant.

REDEMPTION

Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.” But man, by his transgression, fell. His only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

SALVATION

Our only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus became sin and took on our disease providing both salvation and divine healing for all.

BAPTISM

Water baptism, being a type of burial with Christ, should be observed as commanded in the scriptures by all who have repented and in their hearts truly believe in Christ and have accepted Him as Savior and Lord.

BAPTISM OF HOLY SPIRIT

All believers are entitled to and should expect the baptism of the Holy Spirit. With it, comes power for life and service and the ability to pray in other tongues.

CHURCH

The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for fulfillment of the Great Commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Prayer Nest Ministries is to preach the gospel of love to all people. To save the lost. To heal the broken. To speak the prophetic word of God with boldness and accuracy. To raise up leaders who will carry the love and power of God into every community and every nation.

We do this by:

Keeping prayer at the center of everything we do
Preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity, boldness, and compassion
Moving in the prophetic gifts of the Holy Spirit to edify, exhort, and comfort God’s people
Demonstrating the love of God through healing, deliverance, and Spirit-led ministry
Equipping believers to hear God’s voice and live their faith outside the four walls of the church
Reaching the lost and underserved through outreach and community service
Raising up and ordaining leaders who will plant churches and spread the gospel to the nations
